| Nicky and Emily Duncumb are cycling from Land's End to John O'Groats for Charity
Thursday 06th August, 2015
On the 10th August, Nicky and Emily will be setting off from Land’s End to cycle approximately 1050 miles to reach John O’Groats on the 29th August.
Why are they doing this? It has been Nicky's dream for a long time to take on this cycling expedition and with Emily agreeing to take on the challenge wit her, they are soon going to be on their way.
The ladies would like to use this opportunity to raise funds for two charities very close to their hearts: JDRF and our own Cat Zero.
JDRF is the only charity to support solely type 1 Diabetics and is relentlessly working towards improved treatment, prevention and one day a cure for type 1 diabetes. Emily has been a type 1 diabetic for 9 years and is hopeful that the work that JDRF are doing will one day provide the cure that she is dreaming of.
Nicky has been very involved with various fundraising voyages on the CatZero yacht in recent years and volunteers her time to supoort us in many ways.
Any donations and support are gratefully received. Donations can be made via following this link:
Emily and Nicky will keep people up to date on their daily progress through Facebook and email and CatZero will share this on their Facebook page.
If you want to meet up with them and support them along the way, please get in touch.
