Public & private
partnerships & funding
Our commitment to changing people’s lives for the better can only be sustained through a network of relationships with public, private and community partners, who support our work, enabling us to match-fund our grant awards.
Unlike many funded projects, we maintain a consistent presence in communities where the need is greatest. This has earned us a reputation as a valued resource with public services and a trusted means of support with local people.

Why the Humber region?

There is entrenched social and economic decline in key communities in Hull, East Riding, North, and North East Lincolnshire. Hull is one of five local authority districts with the largest proportion (45.2%) of highly deprived neighbourhoods in England. North East Lincolnshire is 17th on the list (30.2%). Many of the individuals, families and communities that need our help are close to, if not already reaching crisis point. The right kind of support is vital to halt their downward spiral.
Working in some of the region’s most deprived neighbourhoods, we engage with people who have fallen through the net of new opportunity and improvement. Our flexible approach enables us to offer a raft of support options to people – from those who need confidence to find work again, to families and individuals with more serious issues. Quite simply, we aim to improve their lives.
Working closely with stakeholders, receiving more self-referrals than ever before, CatZero establish relationships built on mutual trust and commitment with each participant, their family members if appropriate, and their community. The person, the family, and their community are interdependent: not addressing the issues of any one of the three makes dealing with the others infinitely more challenging.
