As we enter 2021 everyone here at CatZero wants to wish you a Happy New Year and let you know that we are here for you.
Our hopes of a brighter future in the coming months remain – the vaccine, the warmer weather and the lighter nights are around the corner! Until then we must lockdown, stay safe and do our bit to ensure we are limiting the spread of coronavirus.
As we did back in March last year, our team will be doing all it can to help you through. Whilst our drive to support new families, young people and individuals will be limited until later in the spring our contact with existing programme participants and families will remain – although virtually.
Once restrictions are lifted, CatZero will spring into full action. We will be introducing a new programme for 14 to 24-years-old in Hull and Grimsby, looking to help them to deliver lasting personal change in their lives and our existing programmes are set to be bigger and better than ever. Plans are being made for us to set sail again too.
All out contact phone numbers remain on our contacts page for you. Rest assured if we do not answer leave a message and we will get back to you. Emails to [email protected] are also being monitored.
Just one thing left to say and that’s Keep Safe!
Veterans & young people: we need YOU!
We are currently recruiting veterans from the Army, Navy and RAF, offering support through positive activities, gaining qualifications and workshops. This strengthens a person’s positive outlook on life and wellbeing.
Lockdown means that our programmes can’t currently run as we would like, but that has not stopped us putting a call out for those who are interested. We can then assist as much as we can between now and when we are able to return to normal.
During our programmes we have discovered just how much our veterans benefit from spending time taking part in our activities – with the banter among everyone second to none!
Participants also get the chance to board our yacht to take part in our eight-day sailing challenge. With activities such as kayaking, conservation projects and hiking also undertaken, this programme aims to create a supportive community, boost employability and support individuals with the challenges that they may face
If you are interested in taking part, please go to our ‘Join our Programmes page, or email directly at [email protected]. It would be fantastic to get you on board! The commitment is two sessions a week and all ages considered, you just had to have served. Referrals taken at any time.
A new programme for young people
Are you aged 14 to 24 and feel you need a new start in life? If so, we may have just the programme for you!
With lockdown underway we cannot launch our full life-changing programme right now, but what we can do is ask interested young people to contact us and get ready. This programme is for those living in Hull and Grimsby and includes inspirational and challenging activities.
Qualifications and one-to-one support will also be offered – supporting participants on their educational journey or into employment or training. As with all our programmes, sailing is on offer – eight days out at sea for what is a truly life-changing experience on our 73ft Challenge yacht.
If you are interested in taking part, please go to our ‘Join our Programmes’ page or email directly at [email protected]. It would be fantastic to get you on board!
