Our multi day sailing experiences give young people the opportunity to complete their Gold residential while taking part in a real offshore adventure.
During the residential, participants become part of the crew. Living on board our 72-foot Challenge yacht, they work together to sail and learn practical skills including navigation, sail handling and watch systems. Depending on the voyage, the sailing adventures could take them as far as the Shetland Islands, the Faroe Islands or Bergen in Norway.
No previous sailing experience is required. Our professional team guide the crew every step of the way, creating a supportive environment where everyone can take part and build confidence.
The residential is designed to do more than teach sailing. It helps young people develop confidence, independence and teamwork while stepping outside their comfort zone.
Life at sea is very different from everyday life. Participants quickly discover the importance of communication, resilience and working together to reach a shared goal.
