In February and March of this year, Callum Leach and Danny Watson undertook a significant refit of the yacht, and we would like to extend our gratitude to all those that helped us to undertake it in such a short timeframe. Some amazing organisations and individuals stepped in to provide support, and we could not have done it without them.
Thanks go to all the volunteers who lent us their time and energy and worked tirelessly over this very focussed period. We’d also like to thank Elevation who helped us with the access tower, Harris and Garrod Ltd for their steelworks and welding, Mark Boothby and Duncan Wilson from the Sewell Group for their support and guidance throughout the refit, and Brandon Hire for their supply of access equipment. A big thank you goes to Tim Bannister at Akzo Nobel for his patient advice and supply of products.
With CatZero made ready for sailing, she is now well into the season and has sailed to the south coast and back, having sailed to Brixham, and to the Isle of Wight for the Round the Island Race. She has also undertaken international voyages, reaching Belgium and Norway.
Thank you to everyone involved in the refit, which allowed us to launch into another successful sailing season.
